For quite some time now, I had manually logged my viewed movies in a trusty journal, listing films that I’d seen in chronological order, then jotting down some brief thoughts on my experience. Sometime ago, I digitized my list of movies watched to a google doc, while continuing to write memos in a physical book. NOW, with the improvements of IMDb’s “My Movies” section, I’ve discovered that I can digitize both my list AND my notes, with the option to organize the movies by several different options. Genres, ratings, showtimes, and many more categories to choose from. It’s great! I’m most likely going to keep my movie journal though.
I’ve started to compile a list of all the movies I’ve seen in my lifetime, with the exception of the ones that I was too young to remember even the basic details of. It can be viewed here. I’m adding to the list everyday as people remind me of certain movies that I’ve seen but forgot to list. It’s taken me a good 2 hours or so of my life to compile this list so far, but it’s been quite a ride, remembering when, with who, and in what circumstances I watched the movie in.
