Photos from the LA Vigil
There were nationwide vigils held for Laura Ling and Euna Lee on Wednesday night. I attended the one in LA. Families, friends, and supporters of the two journalists detained in North Korea were all there, it was quite a turnout. The husbands of the journalists and Lisa Ling were also there to give a live CCN interview with Anderson Cooper. I can’t even imagine the emotions and thoughts that might be going through their minds right now— yet they tried their best to stay strong, smile, and give thanks to the people who showed up to the event. It was an emotional night.
The women went to trail three days ago, and we still haven’t heard anything regarding the verdict. Let’s pray for their families to be comforted in this time and for Laura and Euna to return home to them as soon as possible.
