After a long day at work, I came home tired but excited for the weekend. Celebrated the end of a hellish week by making a quick dinner.
penne pasta with string beans drizzled with olive oil, lime juice, a lot of garlic..tossed with lots and lots of freshly grated parmesan and walnuts! yum.
salt and pepper to taste, topped it all with more shaved parm.
cake slices from tous les jours for dessert!

i was going through Pioneer Woman’s visual recipe index when I saw this one for chicken parmigiana. i’ve been craving it ever since i saw her pics!
Since i made it home a little earlier than usual tonight, I decided to give the recipe a try. Decided to go healthy by breading the chicken with whole wheat flour and the homemade sauce on top of whole wheat pasta! it doesnt look as pretty as PW’s, but it was definitely delicious! B liked it too.

Tents set up with bbq vendors selling meat. Since our company had VIP passes and tickets, we got to try everything for free. Yeah, I don’t know why i dont have more pics of food.. especially of kalbi. I guess i was busy eating it all?

The weekend was stressful and tiring, but it didn’t seem to run out of blessings. I am thankful.

1. the first thing i did when i got off the plane was buy a banana milk from the airport’s convenience store and head to the nearest computer to check my facebook/twitter/emails. the rest of my trip echoed a repetition of the same process with slight variations, depending on location.

5. 2am on a weekday. all establishments are open, ready to serve you alcohol.
